Judith Fan

Judith Fan - Resident

Judith grew up in Ames, Iowa, home to the Iowa State Cyclones, before moving to rural Grinnell, Iowa for college. After graduating, she attended medical school at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana.

During medical school, Judith had the opportunity to spend two months in Nome, Alaska for a family medicine rotation, where she experienced the challenges and rewards of rural medicine. Since then, she has been dreaming of going back and we are thrilled to have her in our inaugural class. Upon completion of residency, she hopes to pursue a career in primary care.

In her free time, Judith enjoys playing pickleball/tennis, hiking, scuba diving, and playing board games with friends and family!

Rue Oliver

Rue Oliver - Resident

Before beginning in medicine, Rue studied sociology and gender, working mainly in roles addressing gender-based and intimate partner violence. Their experience also includes working as an artist and with individuals experiencing homelessness. Now stepping into the world of medicine, Rue is eager to integrate those experiences into patient care and is particularly interested in primary and palliative care, and looking forward to accompanying patients through challenging times and their broader health journeys.

Outside of medicine, Rue's joy comes from being close to the ocean and exploring northwest forests. They love singing, crafting, illustrating, writing, and especially spending time with my friends and family.
