Central Peninsula Internal Medicine (CPIM) in Soldotna, AK is the internal medicine clinic of Central Peninsula Hospital (CPH). CPIM has a rich history of supporting clinical education, with almost 30 years of hosting UW Internal Medicine residents for a 4-week outpatient elective, as well as more than 20 years of teaching WWAMI medical students as a part of their core IM clerkship. It has attracted clinicians with no prior ties to Alaska to build their careers and families in Soldotna.

Providers at CPIM offer access to primary care services and internal medicine consultation, filling a significant need for the Kenai Peninsula, as it is not always feasible for patients to travel three hours to Anchorage for subspecialty care.

Residents will build their primary care panels and offer consultation services at CPIM in their R2 and R3 years. This longitudinal outpatient internal medicine experience will involve at least two full clinic days per week over nine of thirteen curricular blocks each year.
